The Aerial is
essentially a cartwheel
that flies through the air without the hands touching the
ground.To perform
this skill, many athletes hurdle or run, and some simply step
forward.Then,
using the same method as a cartwheel, the back leg is kicked
overhead, while the torso drives downward.The arms can be to the sides or pulled in, and the body
executes a half turn, landing on one leg, and quickly arriving
in a lunge position.
