Front HS Stepout

This skill is very close to the Front Handspring, but with a major difference in its ending.  The Front Handspring Stepout starts as a normal Front Handspring, but the legs remain separated, split as widely as possible, and the landing will be on one leg.  Coaches refer to that leg as the “back leg,” as it is the leg that is behind the gymnast, and the leg that kicks over the head.  The Front Handspring Stepout is used before another tumbling skill, such as a Round Off or a Front Handspring.
