This skill is
very close to the Front
Handspring, but with a major difference in its
ending.The Front
Handspring Stepout starts as a normal Front Handspring, but the
legs remain separated, split as widely as possible, and the
landing will be on one leg.Coaches refer to that leg as the “back leg,” as it is
the leg that is behind the gymnast, and the leg that kicks over
the head.The Front
Handspring Stepout is used before another tumbling skill, such
as a Round
Off or a Front Handspring.
