LEVEL
4 - CT Sectionals - Fall 2003
The
long awaited State “Sectional” Championships were
exciting for Gymnastics Revolution’s Level 4 gymnasts.
Competing
in the afternoon of December 13, these three young athletes
strutted out to the floor amongst a field of 69 gymnasts.
They were among the youngest gymnasts in the
competition at Southern Connecticut State University, but
age was not a factor in their success!

The girls
started the meet on bars, and immediately set the pace for
their afternoon. With
her highest score of the year, Kate was on track for a big
day. On the Beam, the Level 4’s were sharp and precise, as
always. With
only one fall, they then moved to Floor.
On the Floor, their moves were solid, with a
particularly strong Routine from Megan, whose round-off back
handspring was as powerful as any other in the meet.
They ended the day on Vaulting, which is Brooklyn’s
strongest event. As
usual, she nailed her vault, scoring a 9.2.
Each
of the girls got a medal for their performances, and Kate
managed a gold medal for her high All Around Score.
Congratulations girls, on a highly successful season!
