Gymnastics Revolution’s Home Meet October 23, 2004

Saturday afternoon, October 23, Gymnastics Revolution hosted a local  USAG competition between Inflight, Polly’s Gymnastics, Children’s Studio, and our own gymnasts.  This Level 4, 5, and 6 competition was the first meet of the season for the Gym Rev girls, and the first meet ever for a few.

Mary, Amy, Noelle, Kathy, Hanna, and Lilly competed for the first time in their new uniforms, and all came up with great performances.  Amy stole the show with her powerful routines, and the second highest All Around of the entire Level 4 field.

In the higher levels, Katie was dominant, showing that her summer of work is paying off big time.  Gone was the nervousness of the past, Katie was a cool customer, and the highest scoring Level 5 of the entire meet.  Also of note was Cortney, who begins the season as a fresh Level 6.  She quickly showed the judges her plans for the year on Floor and Beam, with gorgeous routines.

All in all, the Gym Rev team looked great, and was solid on all four events.  Although it’s too early to tell what the season results may have in store, Saturday’s meet might be an indicator of big things in the future!
