Revolution Scores Big at Dunne's, Hebron, CT. November 21, 2004
The compulsory gymnasts from Gymnastics
Revolution were at it again on November 21, 2004. In a local
competition at Dunne’s Gymnastics in Hebron, CT, the level 4, 5,
and 6’s from Gymnastics Revolution dominated the field. Kinetic
Kids, Farmington Valley, Dunne’s, Tritown, NorthWest Gymnastics,
and Glastonbury YMCA were there, but in the end, it was the Gym
Rev girls taking top honors. The level 5 team posted a
176.875, trying its strength in preparation for the Connecticut
State Championships at SCSU in December.
Individually, in her second
such victory this season,
Katie turned in the highest All Around
score of any level 5, and the second highest score of the entire
meet. The only gymnast to come up with a better total was her
level 4 teammate,
Hanna.

When age groups were considered,
the Gym Rev Level 5’s swept every category, led by Sam, Katie,
and brand new to the team, Erin. Erin has been training for
months, and has only just been entered into meets. She was
allowed to compete this weekend in the hopes that she might be
able to add to the team’s totals, but she surprised everyone by
hitting routine after routine, ending the day without a major
error, and with the title for 10 year olds! Erin and her
teammates came up with an impressive 176.875, and with a little
more work, they will be a force to be reckoned with at the State
Championships! Continued ► |

Also of note
were Brittany, who stepped into the spotlight with a fantastic
bar routine, and her first appearance in the
9.0 Club, Brooklyn, whose solid performances have improved
every meet this season, and Samantha M. and Colby, who both
qualified to the State Championships in December.
In the Level 4
ranks, Amy, Mary, and Hanna traded top performances back and
forth all day. While all of the Level 4’s were fantastic, these
three gymnasts led their team, but when concentration became
very difficult on the last event, Hanna focused in to edge out
her teammates! Great work girls, and good luck at the December
State Championships!
